Overview
This award is presented each year to a student who has demonstrated incredible talent, visibility, and dedication as an entertaining student at Utah Tech University. Nominees for Entertainer of the Year may come from any member of the campus community. The nomination forms are reviewed by a preliminary screening panel and weighed against category criteria to narrow the field to five finalists. Finalists are contacted and invited to participate in a private interview where they also share a 2-minute personal performance demonstrating their talent. Following the interview/performance, the committee submits their first score which accounts for 50% of the final score. Each finalist then performs a second time during the Trailblazer Awards ceremony, where their presentation is scored a second time. These two combined scores determine the winner.
